Beautiful hand-carved pieces and gorgeous natural stone
put this luxury bathroom renovation in a timeless class of its own.
With the goal of creating a space with a timeless essence, Brindabella has incorporated a hint of French provincial into this Northbridge bathroom renovation. Hand-carved and hand-painted surfaces nestle snugly against Old English lever-style tapware with a grand mirror placed above the vanity. Cleverly, we also matched the etching from the window in the floor tiles; this anchors the bathroom in the past and makes it appear as if it has always been in the home.
Feature lighting enhances the luxury Hamptons style and, with sheer fabric shades, add an upmarket – almost feminine – feel to this Wahroonga bathroom.
Decorative mirrors were also an important part of accessorising the design. The floor tiles are laid in an unusual yet visually striking formation to create visual interest and “guide” the eye into and around the room, while a subtle vein on the wall tiles beautifully complements the muted colour scheme.
Brushed platinum tapware and accessories were chosen to blend with the natural softness of the marble (chrome would have been to “harsh” and modern). The furniture-style, freestanding vanities were custom-made to suit the specific design requirements of the room – even the knobs on the drawers were specially chosen to stay consistent with the theme.
