Working with an existing two-storey dwelling in Rozelle, the challenge for Brindabella was to bring designer Liz Grimmet’s creation to life. At the rear of the building, the old kitchen was demolished and the area extended to include the stunning, light-filled atrium you see here. Only two columns of the original structure remained meaning two large steel lintels were used during construction to support the upper floor while construction took place underneath – a feat of engineering and building skill.
