We are proud members of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) and the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi) and undertake regular, ongoing professional development to stay ahead of our field. Our head designer is a qualified Certified Bathroom Designer and has been a national judge for the KBDi design awards.
We regularly enter a variety of state, national and international awards programs and have no hesitation in having our projects judged by our industry peers. Your guide to
renovation success
We all love a bad news story and our favourite tabloid press and current affairs television shows are quick to pounce on the “dodgy builder” who, in reality, only represents a minuscule proportion of our industry. But, no one wants to get burned, so here are our tips for not only surviving your renovation, but actually enjoying the process as well:
Work with a licensed builder
Always check that licenses are current with the Department of Fair Trading. Ask the builder, do they monitor their subcontractor’s licenses, insurances and does your builder have a comprehensive WHS program in place.
Look for quality and industry memberships
Look for and ask the builder what brands they endorse & use, how long have their subcontractors been with them, how many full-time staff & tradespeople they have. Ask about HIA & KBDI or any other industry memberships.
Ask for specific design qualifications
Specialist designers have an intimate knowledge of the particular design challenges faced in a variety of spaces. A certified bathroom designer knows exactly what’s needed to create the perfect bathroom for you and your family, and is up to date both on the latest trends as well as relevant Australian Standards. There are also Building Designers and Architects who understand building, space design and council regulations.

At Brindabella, we believe in looking after your project from the very beginning right through to the very end. Every aspect is project-managed to ensure a stress-free easy process for everyone.
We hold a full builders licence which allows us to conduct building work, schedule and oversee trades, prepare documentation for council approvals and more, for renovations, extensions, and additions. Our experienced Site Supervisor oversees every aspect of the building work carried out on site.
Our Design Director is a Certified Bathroom Designer which means he is accredited by the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute as holding the highest qualification in bathroom design available. This accreditation must be continually renewed.
We have specialist interior designers on staff who can advise on design and layout, colour schemes and themes, accessories, finishes, fittings and fixtures, lights and lighting design, interior organisation, storage solutions, soft furnishings and decoration, styling and so much more.
We also have close relationship with specialists areas such as engineers, heritage councils, arborists, town planners, hydraulic engineers & more.
Our office staff bring their years of experience to every project we undertake ensuring the essential paperwork is submitted and approved, the schedules are prepared correctly and adhered to, constant liaison with on-site tradespeople, ordering and delivery of products, and are always on call to answer your questions.
